A renowned cultural institution extends an invitation to visionary choreographers and innovative dance companies globally to submit proposals for an original choreographic work. This unique opportunity focuses on a new creation slated for its world premiere at the esteemed 2027 Dance Festival in Venice, Italy. As a component of a multi-year initiative dedicated to fostering new works by international artists, the selected project must be an entirely novel creation, never previously presented in any form, whether studio or full production. The chosen piece will debut at the 21st International Festival of Contemporary Dance. Substantial support is offered, including a production contribution of up to €30,000. Additional assistance for the Venice premiere covers the artistic fee for the debut, travel and accommodation expenses for the choreographer or company, and all costs related to the technical rider. Projects, which can range from solo performances to ensemble compositions, are required to be adaptable to the festival's distinctive venues. Upon selection, a provisional project budget will be requested. All technical, logistical, and prop specifications for the final project must be mutually agreed upon with the institution's technical and production team eight weeks before the premiere. The deadline for submitting proposals for this international call is October 20, 2026.
