Circus Zonder Hands

Description:

Circus Zonder Hands is looking for a General Coordinator
Circus Zonder Hands (CZH) is the Brussels social and inclusive urban circus school that offers free time circus activities for everyone from 4 years old. Our aim is to discover, connect and develop the talent of Brussels youth. For example, more than 800 children, young people and adults participate in our activities every week.

CZH is an urban and hybrid organization at the crossroads of (youth) culture, youth, sports, circus, inclusion and well-being. We believe in the power of circus and try to make participation in the circus offer possible for everyone. We opt for a differentiated pricing policy, the organization of low-threshold activities in various previously vulnerable neighborhoods, location-oriented work, providing communication through various channels tailored to the various target group, a diversity of trainers, strengthening trainers through training and coaching, building meeting places between different communities and our wide range of collaborative partners.

In addition to an educational offer in the form of regular weekly lessons or initiations, Circus Zonder Hands also develops social and artistic projects. This is how projects such as "Handlangers" or "BXL Composé" arose: growth trajectories in which young people from the age of 14 are intensively guided on an artistic, pedagogical, technical and social level.

The result of this is an urban circus studio, where a colorful mix of people stands on and next to the mat who look at society with an open mind and make each other stronger.

CZH has grown strongly in recent years and currently consists of a diverse and dynamic team of 11 permanent employees and more than 40 freelancers. Since 1 May 2020, there has been a supported strategic multi-year plan for the next 5 years, which was approved by the Minister of Culture and which ensures CZH's financial stability. In addition, we look forward to operating our own infrastructure, which is likely to have its foundation stone laid in 2026.

Because our current coordinator was offered a new exciting challenge, we unfortunately have to say goodbye to her and we are looking for a new team leader for our enthusiastic team.

Position : General Coordinator

Your role in our organization:

You are responsible for the day-to-day management of our growing organization in a connecting and self-managing way. You lead a team of enthusiastic and driven employees and are responsible for the implementation of the strategic objectives from the policy plan.

You apply the principles of connecting communication and talent-oriented coaching. You report to and work with the Board of Directors.
