Description:

We are looking to recruit several Show Captains to join our Entertainments Department Management Team at THORPE PARK Resort for our FRIGHT NIGHTS 2022 event running from early September until early November.

Each successful candidate will be assigned to a specific offering/attraction based on skillset by the Entertainments Experience Managers. FRIGHT NIGHTS Show Captains must ensure guest interaction and satisfaction is of the highest calibre, working with each performer in their cast individually to ensure their performance standards are up to standard. There will also be opportunities for creativity in this role across both performance and operations; this will be delegated by the Entertainments Experience Managers.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring that costume, props and set is being cared for and that performers within their designated team are meeting the standards set by the Entertainments Experience Managers within their rehearsals. Giving in-the-moment feedback on a continual basis to ensure these standards are adhered to. The Show Captains also will ensure break/rotation plans are stuck to, work with other departments where necessary for the benefit of the Resort, and deal with ad hoc employee relations issues. Show Captains must also ensure that the performers within their team are warmed up, motivated and ready to perform on time for the guests.

This successful candidate must be representative of our department ethos, displaying characteristics of being exemplary at all times, taking a collaborative approach to all work tasks and being a proactive self-starter, led by passion. Equally, candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic and willing to work in a team in intense environments to tight deadlines with a positive attitude. Successful candidates must have a strong worth ethic and be prepared to work weekends, bank holidays, evenings and long hours during peak period. A flexible mindset is a crucial quality for this role.

We are looking for candidates with full-time availability from early September until early November.
