Located in Pennsylvania’s beautiful Pocono Mountains, Camp Lindenmere is a private, coed sleepaway camp with a long, rich history. Established in 1935, our focus is on the individual growth of each child. Our campers range in age from 7 to 17. We run Sports, Arts, Performing Arts, and Adventure Activities on a daily basis in our beautiful facilities with an amazing camp community. A big part of that is because of our caring staff.

Not sure you have all the skills, you're in luck. We love to get staff in early to train and develop your skills & knowledge, before and throughout the summer. There is always plenty to learn with all the different instructors you will meet from around the world.
All of our staff serve as activity instructors (i.e. Flying Trapeze) and Bunk Counselors. Working at a summer camp is the experience of a lifetime. The personal growth, rewards of working with children, and excitement of an active, diverse community will stay with you long after the summer ends. Many staff members describe their employment at Camp Lindenmere as the BEST summer of their life. You will too!
Our staff members act as a general counselor, at certain points of the day, while teaching their chosen activity area for the majority day. In addition, we understand that a large part of the staff experience is socializing and downtime is important. We have a calendar of staff activities and events for time off along with a great staff lounge.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old or have completed a year of college.
- Strong and positive leadership skills to be awesome role models for our campers.
- Able to communicate and work well with children and staff members.
- Able to teach/coach/guide beginners through to advanced skill level campers
- Must be comfortable living in shared housing, with children, for 7 weeks
- There are two outdoor Flying Trapeze rigs where we will need instructors who can help with Technique Improvement, Practice Bar, Ground Safety, Take-off Board, Catching, Safety Lines, and Rigging.
- As a condition of employment applicants must pass the staff screening processes which include: reference checks, criminal background checks, sex offender registry checks, fingerprinting, and other staff screening checks deemed appropriate.
There are 2 visiting days where both Circus and Flying Trapeze put on shows.
Compensation: We pay very competitive rates to attract the best staff. We cover Room and Board, meals, and team shirts, provide a staff lounge with wifi, plus weekly laundry is included so you really have no expenses at all while at camp!
We can also be flexible with dates, as there is a pre and post-camp season. Our summers often run from May through October.
