We are looking for someone to join our high flying team, and take command of the Flying Fantastic studios. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for managing and developing all Flying Fantastic’s aerial programmes, including both adults and Young Flyers. You will be helping Londoners take flight on a daily basis and will be the main point of contact for liaising with customers, managing registrations, managing marketing and dealing with customer queries.
Working on the front line with your first class communication skills, you will be required to ensure an excellent customer experience to our customers attending classes across our studios. From responding to customer emails to creating engaging social media enquiries, you will communicate with our customers on a number of channels, including greeting them at the venue in person.
You must be able to take initiative, work autonomously, effectively prioritise tasks and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
You should have a good knowledge and interest in circus arts and London’s culture and leisure sectors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
About the role:
As a small company, members of the team are required to work on multiple roles, This means that no two days are the same! Duties will be split between managing our studios, our youth programme, and working in the front of house team (FOH).
The main areas of responsibility in each role will be:
STUDIO MANAGER
- Reporting to the Directors and ensuring the smooth running of the studio
- Coordinating trainers and cover
- Coordinating studio programming and scheduling
- Be the first point of contact at reception for all customer enquiries in person, over the phone, email and on social media
- Managing private and group bookings
FRONT OF HOUSE:
- Sign customers into the classes and ensure that classes start on time
- Manage classes and payments using booking systems
- Rigging inductions
- Managing phone enquiries
YOUTH PROGRAMME:
- Manage all bookings and transactions for Young Flyers courses and workshops
- Set up all Young Flyers classes and courses on our booking systems
- Assist with marketing and promotion of all Young Flyers activities
- Manage all teachers and admin regarding all Young Flyers activities.
- Be the first point of contact for all enquiries regarding the Young Flyers programme - in person, over the phone and on Social Media
NICE TO HAVES:
- Marketing experience - Producing our weekly newsletter and associated content
- Social Media expertise - managing content on all social media channels
- Promoting our activities through third party websites and advertising campaigns.
- Experience writing funding applications - eg: Arts Council
- Previous experience working with groups with additional accessible requirements
- Teaching experience - or the appetite to learn more about aerial teaching
