Job Description PQA, a leading provider of weekend performing arts training, is currently looking for a local filmmaker to work with our students at PQA Leeds North & Bardsey on a Saturday 9:30-13:00 devising and shooting short films with students. You will be leading filmmaking workshops with children from 6 - 18 years creating material that can ultimately be screened in a local cinema and shared online. You will ideally have some experience working with children and young people and have a strong background making short films or television. PQA follows safer recruiting. An enhanced DBS on the update service will be required and can be arranged. Job Requirements Knowledge and experience of all aspects of film making. Experience and genuine interest in delivering film making skills to children and young people from a variety of backgrounds. A commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing. Job Responsibilities Planning and delivering film making workshops and classes to young people aged 6 to 18. Supporting young people to plan and shoot their own age-appropriate short films. Editing films and preparing for cinema screenings and other showcase opportunities. Willingness to work as part of a small, energetic team and contribute to the wider life of the academy.
