Together, we work hard, juggle priorities, shift trajectories, have loads of fun and, above all, dare to reinvent ourselves and meet new challenges.As a Cirque du Soleil Coach, you will actively contribute to ensuring high quality daily training, while continually safeguarding and managing the risks associated with human performance, including the technical content, use of equipment and movement techniques under the supervision of the Head Coach. You will be known for: - Coaching expertise: participate in planning and overseeing aspects related to the content of the technical training, including warm ups, physical conditioning, workload and recovery, training schedule, rotation and performance; - Creating an artist-centered environment: in close collaboration with artists, through observing and adjusting execution, sharing knowledge and experience, and optimizing learning techniques, you will play a strategic role in helping artists develop to their full potential and maintain the technical level of their act; - Training guidance: your expertise in figure skating along with your overall knowledge in sports science and performance management will be key to enhancing artists’ capabilities, identifying challenges and contributing to the development of performance action plans; - Proactive team player: in promoting a cohesive work environment and meeting shared objectives within the greater artistic team, gather and share information with colleagues in the artistic direction team, performance medicine, as well as the Cirque’s senior coaching team; - Performance risk management: participate in analyzing and elaborating measures, in addition to making recommendations to manage risks associated with human performance; - Precise documentation: contribute to ensuring a complete history of performance observations, evaluations, program initiatives and incident or accident reports are appropriately transcribed and maintained. We would like to meet you if you have: - University degree in physical activity sciences or a combination of education and experience in figure skating. - Pertinent experience in a similar position; - Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in group management (athletes) and training planning (long-term development); - Adventure-seeking, challenge-driven influencer; - Availability to coach full time in Montreal and Cornwall from June-October 2019.
