Female Artistic Swimmers
Olympic and Professional level Artistic Swimmers - must have strong vertical and scull skills, and an ability to execute simple dives from 3M springboard.
Solo routines only. Duos and Trios may be submitted as long as you identify which swimmer you are. Team routines may be submitted only if you are the swimmer being lifted or tossed.
Artistic swimmer requirements:
5x 10 seconds in a vertical position with 30 seconds rest in between, all verticals should be performed facing forward, and the knee cap shouldn't touch the water.
20m of double arm egg beaters. The chin should never touch the water.
3 splits rotation in the water. Ariana rotation holding 5 seconds for each split.
Back dives or any acrobatic skills.
30 seconds water improve.
10x Double Arm Body Boost (known as a “Jump” for Americans) – Power, sharpness and height consistency is important – Many different body boosts are used throughout the shows.
3x Barracuda Thrust, the last one being with a 360 spin – the initial thrust motion should be quick, controlled, and straight (not falling backwards or sideways & the spin should also stay straight) and the more height out of the water the better, as always.
Please also include a video introduction, demonstration of your strength and endurance. Include footage of your movement ability, either a choreographed piece (no longer than 1.5 minutes) or an improvisational piece is required. Please ensure the audio portion is intact so that we can evaluate your musicality as well. We are not looking for great dancers, just an ability to move, interpret music, and be directed.
Optional footage may include any acting you have done, or special skills which you think sets you apart from others in your field. Aerial skills a plus.
