Position Summary: Six Flags Over Texas is seeking an energetic, organized individual to join the Entertainment team as our Technical Director.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a technical crew ranging from 4-20.
Create timelines and facilitate all installations and strikes of shows, Park décor, Special Events and Festivals as assigned
Preform system checks and follow startup & shutdown procedures
Manage all rehab and repair of company assets
Adhere to all department and company safeties policies.
The ideal candidate must possess:
Extended knowledge with Installing and maintaining audio systems, operating/ programing - audio desk (X32), lighting desk (NX4), Q-Lab Programing, counterweight line-set systems, Rigging, Carpentry.
Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
Ability to physically climb stairs and ladders
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk the park on a continual basis.
**Should not have a fear of heights
Self-motivation and the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
Basic computer skills
OSHA10 certification or must obtain such within 6 months
Must supply basic tools (multi-tool + crescent wrench + small flashlight + work gloves)
Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Willingness to be trained to operate forklifts & areal lifts such as manlifts/ booms + scissor lifts
