About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Entertainment Manager, the Entertainment Show Technician is responsible for delivering world class theme park entertainment at our various show venues throughout the resort. You will be responsible for ensuring all lighting, sound, special effects and stage automation run effectively for our live performances, you will form part of the Entertainment team that keep the excitement alive every day.
We have a range of shows from the DUPLO Puppet Theatre, designed for younger guests, the LEGO Friends & Pirates of Skeleton Bay at our Heartlake Harbour venue, seasonal event shows on the Miniland stage and Hotel entertainment in the evening for our overnight guests. Our team of show technicians will be responsible for getting the sets and tech ready for the performance team, mic checking our speaking performers, health & safety best practice for all technical equipment and ad hoc technical support as required.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills & experience:
- Proven experience of working within a technical capacity supporting live shows
- Experience with theatre lighting, live audio mixing and QLab programming & operation
- Willingness to undertake water safety if required (for roles working on the harbour)
- Awareness of health & safety requirements for technical kit, risk assessments & CoSWPs
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Want to work in a unique environment where no two days are the same
- Be able to clearly communicate to our guests and your colleagues
