Description
This role:
Holds the rank of 3 stripe officer.
Is hired, scheduled, and operationally managed by the Manager, Entertainment Operations.
Reports to the Hotel General Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
Every job requires flexibility; however, your Key Job Responsibilities are to:
Provide a superior show-going experience that meets the company’s artistic, technical, and operational standards, including presentations in the World Stage.
Tour manage the ship’s Performers, Presenters, entertainment vendors, and Charters, providing exemplary care and services through honed communication and intelligent leadership.
Manage the entertainment team, driving employee retention and promoting professional development.
Manage the daily performance and presentation schedule.
Oversee daily programming and cruise arc guaranteeing the optimum guest experience over the course of each voyage while maintaining brand procedures and expectations.
Oversee entertainment inventory by ensuring stock, replenishment, repairs, and storage organization are timely and appropriate for the success of the onboard entertainment operation.
Manage accommodations for entertainment team, Performers/Presenters, and contractors/vendors.
Complete managerial tasks related to the administration of your entertainment team, including time & attendance oversight, in-port manning schedules, performance evaluations, etc.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, security and environmental policies of the Company.
Display impeccable dress sense and appearance and ensure the entertainment team does the same in accordance with the House Rules.
Desired Skills
Experience: 5+ years of entertainment management experience. 1-2 years of Cruise Ship experienced require.
Proven expertise in entertainment management, overseeing large, multifaceted teams across diverse operational areas
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions in high-pressure situations, often with limited support or resources
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate potential issues, proactively develop solutions, and take decisive action based on expertise and authority
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams in dynamic environments
Advanced proficiency in administrative functions, supporting the seamless execution of complex entertainment programs and scheduling
Strong focus on compliance with safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for both team members and guests
Skilled in managing and executing administrative processes critical to the success of multi-disciplinary entertainment operations
Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
