Norwegian Cruise Line is looking for an Lead Audio Technician to come and work on its newest vessel, the Encore in this newly created position of Lead Audio Technician.

Position Responsibilities:

The Norwegian Encore Lead Audio Technician is responsible for operating Kinky Boots, Choir of Men, guest artist shows, all other events and maintaining the artistic integrity as set by the install creative team on Norwegian Encore. The technician will oversee the operation of all Audio Systems onboard. Perform and oversee all Audio setups with scenery changeovers in the Theatre.
This person is expected to maintain and inspect all audio equipment on a continuous basis. This person must assist the Technical Production Manager with orders to maintain the inventory in the theater. This person must also be available to assist and conduct training other technicians whenever needed.
This person must have advance knowledge and experience including but not limited to Dante networking, RF troubleshooting, setup and troubleshooting of Yamaha CL series, Yamaha Rio’s, Qlab programming and operation, Aviom in ear monitoring systems and Wireless workbench. This person also needs to know the setup and operation of Midi and Timecode. This person is responsible for ensuring proper band setups and Microphone placement for all performances with an advance knowledge of these setups.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of complex Musical/variety theatrical Audio design.
• Advanced knowledge of Digital Audio Systems
• At least five years of experience in Musical Theater
• Advanced knowledge of Musical theatre productions, backstage operations and safe rigging practices.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION

Associates Degree in Technical Theatre or a related field of study; Appropriate vocational/technical training and/or experience may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required degree. Must be able to clearly speak and understand English
