Description:San Francisco’s Circus Center, a non-profit organization and the oldest and largest circus school on the West Coast, seeks a full-time salaried Director of Training and Education.The Director of Training and Education must be a visionary circus artist with a deep, practical knowledge of circus training, a strong professional performing experience (preferably international), and a passion for circus arts education. The Director of Training and Education partners with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, and Community Engagement Director to create a unifying vision for the organization, one that embodies our values of excellence, equity, and enjoyment in circus arts education. The ability to teach one or more circus disciplines at the highest level is desirable. The Director of Training and Education may also serve as a master instructor within their speciality. Most important, however, is the ability to work collaboratively to conceive of an integrated vision for our training programs and lead us toward it. This vision should serve our existing community as well as expand and deepen the training quality to further secure Circus Center as a true hub of circus training on the West Coast, whether that be youth, recreational, or professional. This is a full-time permanent position located onsite at our historic facility in San Francisco, with some remote work possible. Some evening and weekend work will be essential.
