Description:SummaryAs a member of the Yale Schwarzman Center’s senior leadership team, the Director of Production will bring demonstrable experience in managing people and teams effectively. The Director of Production will be involved in long-term planning and strategy and will be expected to collaborate meaningfully with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Associate Artistic Director, Director of Marketing & Communications, and Director of Finance & Administration. The direct reports for this position include Associate Production Managers (2), Technical Director, Production Electrician, Sound Engineer, Event Technician, and Woolsey Hall Stage Manager. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Director of Production will supervise all production activity in 5+ multi-purpose venues and Woolsey Hall, ensuring smooth operations and safety throughout the organization and facilities; manage YSC’s production team and production budgets; create an inclusive and respectful working environment for production activity; and carry out duties while exercising a high degree of expertise, autonomy and discretion. Requirements Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in theater or related field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education or experience; experience in managing and empowering people and teams to do their best work Preferred Education and Experience: Experience in a start-up environment; MFA degree in theater production. ETCP and/or OSHA certifications; driver’s license.
