As the Director - Artists Sourcing and Development, you will play a crucial role in discovering, nurturing, and developing artistic talent by deploying a sourcing strategy and the orientation of the NexGen program, which aims to develop the next generation of our artists, in alignment with organizational goals.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Artist Identification:

• Develop and implement innovative strategies to identify emerging and established artists across cirque, sports and other emerging fields of performance.
• Utilize industry insights, data analytics, and trend analysis to influence talent scouting efforts.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, talent agencies, arts & sports organizations, and educational institutions to create a robust talent pipeline ensuring a steady flow of diverse and exceptional talent.
• Develop the vision for attendance at industry events, performances, showcases, and festivals to scout for new talent.


Talent Pipeline Development:

• Create and maintain a dynamic pipeline of high-potential artists that aligns with the company's current and future needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast talent needs and develop strategies to address them.


Artist Development Programs:

• Design and oversee a comprehensive artist development programs tailored to the unique needs of creative talent, including talent development activities as part of the NexGen program.
• Develop the orientation of the NexGen program and develop initiatives that enhance artistic skills and career growth.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the NexGen program, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement and relevance.


Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align talent strategies with the company’s creative and business objectives.
• Lead the development and execution of a talent management roadmap that supports the organization’s growth and innovation.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to talent gaps and succession planning.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on talent analytics and industry trends.


Performance Management:

• Develop and implement a performance management framework that supports the identification, development and sustainability of high-potential artists.
• Work with managers and creative directors to ensure consistent and effective performance evaluations.


Measurement of ROI of talent identification and development:

• Develop robust key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and ROI of all talent identification, sourcing, and development initiatives.
• Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of talent acquisition and development strategies, adjusting approaches based on data-driven insights.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on the impact and value of talent sourcing and development activities.
• Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization and contribute to long-term success.


YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Sports Administration, Education, or a related field;
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in artistic/athletic talent development, training, project management or a related field;
• A strong proficiency in French and English;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
• Deep understanding of the performance industry;
• A passion for sourcing and developing artists across various disciplines;
• Proven experience in performance analysis and improvement;
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to travel as required;
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire others;
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
