With the development grants for individual artists, Flanders aims to enable exceptional efforts or a professional trajectory for circus artists. The process, research, and artistic experiment take precedence over a concrete production, but you must convince with your growth potential and concrete expectations in your grant application.
A grant is awarded for a maximum of one year and can be used for a maximum of 80% of international travel costs and accommodation and study costs directly related to your training. A development grant can only be applied for as a natural person residing in Flanders or Brussels. Not as an organization. As a circus artist, you can receive a maximum of 1 grant per year.
