Description:The Circus Project is a center for circus education and artist development in Portland, Oregon. We use contemporary circus arts as a catalyst for personal and collective transformation.We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic fundraiser to join our team and build lasting relationships with individuals and businesses. Ideal candidates will be organized, enjoy meeting new people, and eager to embed community-centric fundraising principles throughout our work. The Development Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Communications Manager and collaborate with many people within the organization — program and administrative staff, donors, volunteers, and the board of directors — to tell our community’s story and keep our supporters engaged. This position is well suited for someone familiar with nonprofit fundraising who is seeking to gain the experience necessary to take on a Development Director role in the future. This is a relatively new position for the organization with the opportunity to create and establish systems and ways of working. Pay: $31,200 – $42,600/year, depending on experience and FTE equivalency Benefits: Health insurance, 22 days flexible paid time off, free circus classes and training, flexible schedule, WVDO membership, other professional development opportunities, shoes-optional workplace Location: Our administrative team is currently 100% remote. As pandemic restrictions are lifted work may continue remotely, or occur at the Circus Project offices. Frequent in-person attendance at meetings and events will be required.
