Description:Arts Development Worker soughtCloughjordan Circus Club is a thriving youth circus with a membership of 40 young people ranging in age from 8 to 18. Since 2011 we've been running sessions every week, with summer schools, holiday camps and regular collaborations with other youth and professional circus groups. We create an annual venue-based show, regularly perform at regional events (winning Best Creative Performance in Limerick's 2018 St Patrick's Day Parade), and our teenage group has performed on a number of occasions Belfast Festival of Fools. The Club's founding Artistic Director is Joanna Williams, a youth arts/circus professional with 25 years experience in Ireland and the UK, and the young people are also supported by a professional choreographer and musician. We have hosted visiting circus artists from Belfast Circus School, Réalta Circus and Sorin Circus to deliver masterclasses. CCC has a passionate commitment to social and youth circus, and believes in bringing the best quality artists and opportunities to young people who otherwise would have no access. Consequently we run outreach workshops and programmes in the neighbouring areas. The bulk of this work is anticipated to take place between Jan - July 2019.
