An exciting opportunity is available for dancers eager to tell stories through movement, contributing to an independent music video for the original song 'In 8 Counts.' This compelling track uses dance as a powerful metaphor for navigating life's challenges, fostering growth, building resilience, and finding one's path forward, step by step. The project aims to showcase a diverse array of dancers, highlighting the unique narratives and profound emotions that only dance can convey. We are actively seeking experienced dancers, aged 18 and above, across a wide spectrum of movement disciplines. These include, but are not limited to: Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Cultural Dance Forms, and other movement-based disciplines. Selected participants will contribute through a combination of self-recorded footage and a collaborative group filming session, tentatively scheduled for early July in the vibrant Chicago area. This volunteer-based creative collaboration offers invaluable benefits to featured dancers, including: high-quality professional video footage suitable for reels and portfolios, engaging social media clips, prominent screen credit in the final music video, and the unique opportunity to collaborate on an original artistic endeavor.
