For nearly 40 years, Vue sur la Relève has supported young people who choose artistic creation as a hobby, as a means of social integration or as a career. All this is embodied, among other things, through the Performing Arts program at Camp des Arts . Under the coordination of the Camp des Arts camp leader, the person sought will be responsible for giving dance workshops for different age groups between 5 and 13 years old, integrating one or more dance styles (jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, modern, Broadway, etc. ) and this, through sessions ranging from 40 to 75 minutes in accordance with the health standards and ratios in force. All in anticipation of the end-of-stay shows presented in front of the public or their recordings.
TASKS TO ACCOMPLISH
Participate in the planning of artistic programming during the pre-camp and integrate it into the workshops.
Participate in the smooth pedagogical and playful progress of the activities in line with the vision of the camp.
Offer structured, dynamic and positive dance workshops on a daily basis.
Create, with the artistic trainers in theater and singing, the writing and the staging of a multidisciplinary show (presented in front of an audience or recorded), for the different age groups and this, for each of the stays.
Determine the material and technical needs of the show.
Act as a reference on technical needs during end-of-stay performances or recordings.
Supervise the smooth running of rehearsals and performances or recordings.
Collaborate in animations when needed.
Actively participate in the assembly and disassembly of the various places occupied.
Clean and disinfect the room and equipment as needed.
Collaborate with the team in the application of all health measures imposed by the competent authorities.
Participate in the post-mortem.
Assume any other related tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Have completed professional studies in dance or have an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Have experience in teaching art to young people.
Animation experience preferred.
Be creative, rigorous and open-minded, have initiative, leadership, a sense of oral communication, a taste for working in a team and with young people.
Be able to manage a group, know how to control your emotions in stressful situations and have a good ability to adapt.
Develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues and superiors.
Have knowledge of safety and have taken a first aid course or be willing to take one before the start of camp.
TERMS
Place of the camp : school located in the Villeray district.
Dates of the Precamp/team creation of the show canvas : June 19 to June 23.
Camp dates : June 19 to August 12 for a total of 300 hours.
Hourly rate : $21.5 – EMPLOYEE.
DAFA and first aid training paid for by the employer if the candidate has not obtained the qualifications for the job
Mobile plan paid for the entire duration of employment (up to $50 per month);
