Sensory Dance & Play and Baby Ballet Teacher's
We are seeking dynamic teachers who can plan fun, engaging and imaginative dance classes!
DanceWest is seeking two professional dance teachers to join the organisation from January 2024! The applicants must have experience of facilitating classes for pre-school aged children with their parents and carers.
Job Requirements
Location: DanceWest Studio, Sands End Arts and Community Centre, Peterborough Road, London SW6 3EZ. (Nearest tube: Parsons Green District line and London Overground: Imperial Wharf).
Hours of work: Tuesday's 9.45-10.30 (Sensory Dance & Play) and Wednesday's 9.45-10.30 (Baby Ballet) January to March 2024 but we are seeking to expand our pool of artists and have plans to deliver more work of this nature at different hours.
Fees: Baby Ballet: £40.00 per session x 10 weeks per term = £400.00 per term and Sensory Dance & Play: £40.00 per session x 10 weeks per term = £400.00 per term.
Description of the classes: Perfect for parents, carers with pre-school children. Using creative movement and play, dance with your toddler or boogie with your baby! Imagine a studio with lots of colourful props, fun world music, interactive exercises that the toddlers can complete with their adult, creative circuits, the opportunity for children to move whilst using their imagination. Job Responsibilities
Duties include:
To plan imaginative dance classes.
To communicate what props, the setup of the studio each week in advance.
To arrive fifteen minutes before the session time.
To welcome the children and families into the studio.
To lead and facilitate the sessions using music, imaginative props and play.
To lead a sensory, cool down.
To support in signing out the families and toddlers from the studio by conversing with families and giving positive feedback to parents.
