Description:

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Choreographer to create and teach dance routines for our 2023 Whole School Musical. The show is an original musical composed by the Director of Theatrical Performance, and provides an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to create a unique and innovative dance identity for a brand new musical. The show is similar in musical style to contemporary musicals such as Dear Evan Hansen and 13, but the choreographer will have significant autonomy over the style of choreography.


The choreographer will be expected to liaise with the Director of Theatrical Performance to discuss the choreographic requirements, and devise routines for around eight musical numbers that will vary in length, complexity, and number of performers. They will then lead rehearsals to teach the routines to pupils between the ages of 13 – 18, of very mixed ability. Some are highly confident dancers, others will never have danced before.


Rehearsals will take place at Mill Hill School on the following Sundays, 10:30 – 15:30. The final two Sundays will be choreographic support during Dress Rehearsals.
