Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Costume Supervisor with extensive experience to oversee all aspects of costume management for a large-scale theatre production.

Job Description
The Costume Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that costumes are created, fitted, maintained, and altered as needed, while ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. They will collaborate closely with the Costume Designer and the wardrobe department to bring the production's costume design to life.

Key Responsibilities:

To work with the Costume Designer to ensure the creative vision for costumes is achieved.
To lead the costume department and execute the costume designs, utilising their own supplier/maker contacts, supervisor every aspect of the construction of the costumes and oversee the fitting process.
Manage the costume department budget, negotiate costs ensuring that every item is tracked, and procure the necessary resources within the budget constraints.
Oversee the creation of costume plots, detailing quick changes, costume shifts, and other logistics.
Build and supervise a full wardrobe team in the lead up to rehearsals, through technical rehearsals and the opening of a large scale stage production with a sizeable number of costumes.
Maintain costume records, including measurements, alterations, and repair history for each item.
Qualifications:

Proven extensive experience as a Costume Supervisor, including on long running, large scale theatre productions.
Experience managing a wardrobe team, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage large budgets and to source materials, suppliers & makers efficiently.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams, performers, and production staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
Fee to be negotiated.
