Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Costume Shop Manager / Project Manager to oversee
day-to-day operations in a busy costume production environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive
problem-solver with strong administrative and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects
and deadlines in a fast-paced creative workspace.
You will work closely with designers, stitchers, and clients to ensure production flows smoothly from concept
to delivery. While this is not a design role, a basic understanding of garment construction and costume
workflows are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent client projects
- Communicate effectively with stitchers and production staff to track work-in-progress
- Schedule fittings, pickups, and production meetings
- Maintain order logs, fabric inventory, and costume records
- Coordinate with vendors and freelance talent as needed
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
- Anticipate needs, flag delays, and prioritize workloads across the shop
- Serve as primary point of contact for production updates and status reports

Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in costume, fashion, or theatrical project management
- Working knowledge of garment construction and costume production workflows
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines with confidence
- Comfort navigating fast-paced environments with evolving needs
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive); Airtable experience a plus
- LA-based and able to work on-site daily
