Compensation: $1,000.00 fee/production

About Us: Laguna Playhouse, a nationally acclaimed, non-profit, professional theatre located steps away from the Pacific Ocean in the charming arts colony of Laguna Beach, CA seeks set/projection and costume designers for two different Youth Theatre productions, and for possible future shows as well.
About the Positions: The first production is a comedic murder mystery called This Murder Was Staged, which runs on the Laguna Playhouse stage November 22-23 for 4 performances. The cast is mostly school-age students, from elementary to high school, and possibly a couple of adults. The other production is a musical called The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee also cast with mostly students. This production is also on the Laguna Playhouse stage and runs April 4, 5, 6 for 5 performances. The pay for the costume designer is $1000 per production.

Qualifications:
+bull; Seeking candidates with training, education, and/or experience in their respective field of design.
+bull; Please submit a portfolio along with resume and cover letter.
Responsibilities:
+bull; Design the costumes for an upcoming Youth Theatre production.
+bull; Collaborate with director to achieve a unified artistic vision, while staying within budget guidelines on the given show.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
Employees may need to lift/carry up to 20 pounds and/or use stairs.
