An esteemed European opera house is seeking highly skilled contemporary dancers for an upcoming major production of Arrigo Boito’s grand opera, 'Mefistofele.' This production, directed by Philipp Rosendahl with choreography by Alessia Ruffolo, requires performers who possess exceptional theatricality, compelling stage presence, and the ability to seamlessly integrate contemporary movement with profound dramatic narrative. Successful candidates will be responsible for executing contemporary dance and movement sequences within the opera, demonstrating robust expressive and theatrical capabilities. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with the choreographer, director, fellow dancers, and the broader artistic team. Professional participation in all rehearsals and performances across Düsseldorf and Duisburg is essential. Performers must be prepared to execute specific choreography and theatrical scenes as instructed, including engagement in scenes that involve nudity, within a strictly professional, safe, and respectful environment. Applicants must demonstrate professional-level contemporary dance proficiency and strong theatrical performance acumen. A mandatory requirement is current residency within North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany, and the ability to commit to work in both Düsseldorf and Duisburg. Candidates must be comfortable and confident participating in scenes that include nudity. We seek individuals who are professional, collaborative, and adept at following precise choreographic and theatrical direction.
