Description:Circadium is a college-level program, and teachers must be invested in the creative process with students, and in the collaborative work of the faculty. Preparatory work, grading, and faculty meetings are a significant part of instructors’ jobs here. Successful candidates will be excited about the school’s vision, and ready to roll up their sleeves to make an impact in the field of contemporary circus.For all faculty positions, the class dates, times, and salary are TBD. Send resume and cover letter to [email protected] Two 90-minute Contemporary Dance classes per week One 60-minute Dance Elective class per week for a small group of 3rd Year students One 90-minute Improvisation class to first-year students for 8 sessions in the fall One 90-minute Choreography class to first-year students for 9 sessions in the spring All classes are for college-aged students with a mix of dance levels. Must include attention to technique and skill progressions – these are not fitness classes. Candidates should be excited about the application of dance in circus, and available for additional (paid) hours Artistic Advising for 3rd Year students. Ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of experience teaching dance bachelor’s degree in dance creative strategies for working with a variety of levels interest in / appreciation for circus arts
