Job Summary
Join Eireann by A Taste of Ireland as Company Stage Manager. Lead the touring company, build the show, call performances, manage tech, and oversee cast and crew. A key leadership role for a confident, people-savvy SM with strong touring and technical experience.
Job Description
We're seeking an experienced and confident Company Stage Manager to lead the touring company of Eireann, the brand new theatrical production by A Taste of Ireland. This is our most senior touring role - the heart of the company on the road - and requires a unique mix of show-calling expertise, technical confidence, and strong people leadership.

You'll be responsible for building the show, preparing the prompt book, leading technical rehearsals, and calling all performances with precision. Beyond the show itself, you'll act as the key liaison between cast, crew, creatives, and management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and resolving any challenges that arise while touring.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in touring productions, is technically literate across lighting, sound, and staging, and has the calm, proactive leadership style needed to guide a diverse and busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

Build the show from rehearsal to stage, including prompt book creation and cueing structure

Call all performances, manage show cues, and maintain consistency across venues

Oversee technical rehearsals and liaise with venue tech teams

Lead cast and crew with empathy and professionalism, addressing issues as they arise

Maintain daily show reports and communicate with the Production Manager

Support bump-in/out and ensure safety and show quality at every stop

You'll need:

3+ years' experience as a Stage Manager on touring or large-scale productions

Strong technical understanding (lighting/sound/staging)

Proven ability to lead a team under pressure and on the road

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

A collaborative mindset and positive team presence

Accommodation, travel, and per diems provided. Join us to help bring Eireann to life across the UK, Ireland, and beyond.
