Description:Underbelly is delighted to present Tweedy's Massive Circus, a brand new show from the world-famous Tweedy, presented in a 300 seat circus tent touring across the UK for 14 weeks.Job Description The Company Stage Manager is a vital member of the on-site team, managing all aspects of show delivery, to ensure a safe, fun and high quality experience for the artists, audiences and staff. Your main responsibilites are to manage all aspects of a touring show, making sure that the production and the performers have everything they need to consistenly deliver the show to the high standard required. You should be a real people-person whilst also having the ability to organise, manage and maintain set, costume and props on a live show. This role is a key member of the on-site team and is responsible for all show-related aspects of the tour. Dates of Engagement Rehearsal period: 29th April - 19th May 2024 Tour Dates: 20th May - 28th July 2024 Pay Details Freelance contract: £725/week (£647/week + holiday pay) based on a 6 day week. In additon to the above, £120 per diems per week Accomodation provided at each location. Job Requirements Ideal Experience Experience of working as a stage manager in a professional environment, preferably in a fast-paced circus setting Good working knowledge of health and safety in a theatrical environment. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to create a positive work atmosphere. Excellent team work skills. Confident in maintaining set, props and costume Crew Requirements Enjoy working with a team. Aptitude for learning. Outstanding organisational skills. Diligence and attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanour. Ability to perform under stress. Excellent multitasking ability. Conflict management skills. Desirable Experience Driving licence & own vehicle. Personal Licence holder Experience of set, prop and costume maintenance Job Responsibilities Site Build Manages the production aspects of the get-in; the props, costumes and set management - making sure that any staff involved in the installation and management of these aspects know their duties and schedule Daily Duties Manages the company and deals with any cast queries and complaints Manages any maintenance and upkeep to props, costume and set Gives company clearance to the Site Manager in order to start the show Site Strike Manage the production aspects of the get-out; the props, costumes and set management - making sure that any staff involved in the installation and management of these aspects know their duties and schedule Making sure that the props, costumes and set are packed onto the transport vehicle in an appropriate fashion in order to do the get-in at the next site Manages the travel aspect of the move from venue to venue for the performers, including any transport and accommodation-related admin Job Overview Job Title: Tweedy's Massive Circus - Company Stage Manager Salary: £30k-£40k Hours: Full time Artform: Theatre Role: Technical & Production Contract: Temporary Closing date: Wed, 10 Apr 2024 Location: UK-wide How to Apply Please click the Apply Now button below.
