Description:We are seeking a Company Stage Manager (CSM) for Season Five onboard Color Line. The position is based onboard the MS Color Magic, travelling between Oslo, Norway and Kiel, Germany (two-day cruises).The role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the theatre, safely operating live performances in collaboration with our Production Technician and managing the onboard team to ensure the successful delivery of each performance. Candidates must be a citizen/resident of a Schengen Area or European Union country. ONBOARD TEAM We have two teams and each team consists of 16 team members: · Company Stage Manager · Production Technician · Wardrobe Assistant · 4 singers · 6 dancers · 3 cirque artists JOB TASKS · Action and monitor company protocols and processes. · Safely and securely operate all performances, rehearsals and sound checks in collaboration with the Production Technician (including automation and performer flying). · Manage rehearsals and sound checks. · Conduct Pre + Post Show checks. · Coordinate all aspects of the performance venue and conduct maintenance. · Attend regular meetings with our Project Manager (who is based in Oslo) and Color Line’s Guest Coordinator. · Monitor cast welfare and host regular management and cast meetings. · Coordinate and issue the daily schedule. · Compose and issue daily and weekly reports to Head Office. · Maintain inventory for consumables. TERMS + CONDITIONS · Salary: €160 per day (equal to €4,800 per month). · Own cabin; with all meals provided onboard. · Status: External Contractor (not Crew) · No cruise duties or IPM. · Welfare Programme includes access to WiFi, chill out lounges, gym, movie/gaming room, laundry facilities and sundeck. SCHEDULE 30 days working onboard; followed by 30 days break off of the ship for a rotation schedule of 1 year. REQUIREMENTS · Excellent people management skills and the ability to manage an international team. · Proficient understanding and ability to use the following technical equipment: o Stage Automation (lift and revolve) o Performer Flying Equipment o Yamaha CL5 Digital Mixing Console o GrandMA2 Lighting Console o Green Hippo Media Server V4 o QLab o Timecoded Shows o Moving Lights o LED Screens o Projectors · Comprehensive knowledge of stage health and safety. · Strong organisational skills. · Efficient time management. · Working at height will be required including the use of ladders and scissor lifts. · Candidates must hold a passport or residency within the Schengen Area or European Union; with a biometric passport valid until April 2025. · Good overall health and physical condition (to be determined by a physician). Seafarers Medical Certificate (costs covered). Age 21+.
