Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Company Manager to support an incredible array of local and visiting artists from across the country and around the world who create the renowned work on our stages. This position works as part of a highly collaborative General Management department and oversees our Assistant Company Manager and occasional temporary Company Management Assistants. The Company Manager is responsible for welcoming the artists into the STC community and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their residency. As lead of the Company Management team, the Company Manager serves as a main point of contact for all actors and stage managers through daily check-ins at the theater as well as being on call through our Company Management Hotline.
The Company Manager, with support from the Assistant Company Manager, will arrange logistics for all visiting artists+rsquo; travel and housing; is responsible for artist health and wellness, including coordinating workers+rsquo; compensation paperwork and managing appointments; and regularly organizes artist hospitality and events such as tech dinners and closing toasts. The Company Manager develops and manages the Company Management budget as well as serves as the primary contact and relationship manager for corporate housing and hospitality partners. This on-site position reports to our General Manager with a base schedule of Monday through Friday, with flexibility required based on show needs, and requires rotating of an +ldquo;on-call+rdquo; schedule with the Assistant Company Manager. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $60,000 - $65,000.
