Description:
The company manager is responsible to coordinate the production and talent on and off the stage.
Essential functions - include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepare all contracts for talent.
Arrange housing for the actors, if necessary.
Oversees use of company vehicles
Acting liaison between the management office and the actors maintaining budgets, schedules and contracts.
All administrative duties in relation to the casts.
Audition new talent
Recruit singers, dancers, stagehands and tech personnel
Works directly with Wardrobe department
Coordinates special events as needed.
Identifies areas where the show can be done better and makes recommendations to the President or Managers
Coordinates set designs
Responsible for completing injury forms if needed for performers
Coordinates schedules for performers
Calls the show and the cues nightly
Works directly with the Theater Manager for efficiency
Works directly with Lighting department
Manages the stagehands as needed
Manages the installation and coordination of all props
Understands the technical equipment such as hazers, fog machines and sound boards
Is able to act quickly when a mishap may happen during the show and call different cues at a moments notice
Qualifications
Extremely organized while also being flexible.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working long hours in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Theater Experience Required
Previous Company Manager experience required
