Groupe Danse Partout is a non-profit organization dedicated to dance that consolidates, as a parent company, the activities of its three divisions: La Rotonde, L'École de danse de Québec and the Maison pour la danse de Québec.
The Maison pour la danse de Québec is a service center for the support of the professional artistic practice of dance and its development. Its mission is to serve and support the development and vision of artists and professional dance organizations by supporting their practice in an open and unifying place.
Your contribution to the team
The main responsibilities of the communications manager are to develop and apply communication, positioning and promotion strategies aimed at increasing the influence of the work of dance artists and the activities of the Maison pour la danse. These strategies must also develop audiences for dance and ensure the marketing of services (studio rentals, for example) and of cultural and artistic programming.
He or she works in close collaboration with the communications team of Groupe Danse Partout inc. by performing, without limitation, the following tasks:
Creation and application of a digital content strategy;
Writing and reviewing various documents (promotional, press releases, reports, articles, etc.)
Editorial planning of the various web and social platforms;
Production and distribution of content: from ideation to writing, from image capture to video editing;
Coordination of image capture (photo and video);
Coordination of external collaborators (social media, editorial staff, photography, video, etc.);
Close collaboration with the dance community;
Coverage of events taking place on the premises of the Maison pour la danse;
Digital watch and community management;
Communication consultation offer for artists;
Follow-ups with the Maison's various financial partners (sponsors, donors, etc.).
Requirements
Hold a terminal undergraduate university degree in an appropriate field of specialization, particularly in communications, public relations, journalism, film or multimedia or other equivalent training;
Relevant professional experience in the field of communications, content production and / or community management; experience in a cultural organization, an asset;
In-depth knowledge of current communications practices, digital strategies, social media platforms and related technologies;
Good knowledge of photo and video capture tools (or a great desire to learn quickly!); good knowledge of video editing software, an asset;
Good knowledge of the artistic, cultural and creative communities of Quebec City, knowledge of the contemporary dance world, an asset;
Excellent command of spoken and written French; good knowledge of spoken and written English.

Employment conditions
Duration of employment: Full-time job, 35 hrs / week. The schedule may vary from week to week, occasionally including evenings and weekends.
Salary: according to the salary scale in force, to be determined according to experience.
