The National Centre for Circus Arts is one of Europe’s leading providers of circus arts training and facilities. Our diverse range of work includes recreational circus classes for all ages and abilities, a structured progressive training programme for under-18s and our BA degree-level education in Circus Arts, as well as providing professional development opportunities for aspiring and established performers.
We receive funding from Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation, and from the Office for Students as a Higher Education Provider. We are a registered charity.
The Role
This is an exciting new role and opportunity, reporting to the Chief Executive as one of the Senior Management Team. The Commercial Director is responsible for generating an ambitious revenue target across a series of activities including venue hire, consultancy services and recreational classes. You will be someone with a strong commercial background and an entrepreneurial mindset, but also with an interest in and understanding of the arts and education. Significant experience in B2B and B2C marketing is a plus. A new organisational structure at National Centre for Circus Arts requires a high degree of collaborative working, so you need to be a genuine team player, ready to share ideas and take on suggestions from across the organisation.
