Description:
Disney Live Entertainment is actively accepting ONLINE SUBMISSIONS from Comedic/Improv actors of all abilities and gender identities for Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, performed at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL.
We will be casting for potential full-time and sub positions.
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor - Comedic actors with strong voice characterizations, quick wit, and comedic improv skills. Ability to learn new technology required in the performance of the role.
SEEKING:
Buddy/Betty Boil: A lovable oaf of a monster with the wannabe flair of a stand-up comedian. Buddy/Betty Boil "warms up" the audience as they enter the theater.
Marty: The little nephew of Mike Wazowski whose voice reflects his boyish energy, charm and innocence. He has an "eye" for puns.

Audition material can be found below. Candidates should submit readings for both Buddy/Betty Boil and Marty, showcasing different voice characterization styles.

Hello! I’m Buddy/Betty Boil, one of the funny monsters here at the Laugh Floor. Are you ready to have a good time? (beat) I said, are you ready to have a good time? Does everyone know our MC? That’s Monster of Ceremonies. Shout it out!
MARTY
Hello humans! Wow! Look at all the humans here. Hey! Raise your hand if you are here! (beat) A lot of you humans aren’t all here. Wow. Look at all the kids. Hey, you think it’s tough being a human kid? Try being a monster kid. My mom really does have eyes in the back of her head. So I can’t get away with not doing my homework! Yeah, I’ve got a big test tomorrow, but I know I’ll do okay. It’s an eye exam. And my teacher says I’m her favorite pupil.

Submissions will be accepted through November 17, 2023; 3PM Eastern Time.
Potential in-person callbacks to be scheduled early-mid January in Orlando, FL. Performers will be notified by December 18 if they are being considered for a call back following their initial submission.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Performers employed by the Walt Disney World® Resort are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with Actors' Equity Association.
Upon signing of Walt Disney World® Individual Employment Contract, candidates are eligible to immediately apply for membership in Actors' Equity Association.
