Description:École de cirque de Québec is looking for versatile circus teachers for the advanced training program (DEC-DEE, as well as Cirque-Études Secondaires) for the year 2023-24.We're looking for teachers who can teach a variety of circus disciplines, including juggling, floor acrobatics, trampoline, handstands, bike acrobatics, hula-hoop, cyr wheel, tissu, corde lisse and aerial hoop. Teaching could be with small groups or in the context of individual classes in these professionalization programs. Main duties - Plan classes according to objectives - Support each student in his/her training process - Evaluate the achievement of objectives at each session and communicate with students to promote their autonomy and development. - Collaborate with the various stakeholders in the higher education sector. Requirements - In-depth knowledge of the various techniques and exercises leading to professional mastery of disciplines - Ability to communicate and collaborate - Teaching experience - Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset. - Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or work permit - NCCP, ACS or circus teaching certification an asset Working conditions: - Part-time, salaried contract, number of hours depending on disciplines taught and needs of training department. - Fall 2023 session: August 21 to December 1, 2023 - Winter 2024 session: January 8 to April 12, 2024 - Possibility of extension for end-of-year shows and summer courses (end July 28, 2024). (Possibility of working almost annually, depending on skills and disciplines taught). - Salary according to the organization's salary scale.
