Under the supervision of the coordinator, the facilitator of the circus arts initiation workshops has the main task of introducing customers to the different circus techniques.
Summary description of tasks:
Supervise the animation of a group of children in the different circus techniques within the framework of the concept of the School's introductory workshops (max. 12 participants).
Manage the group of young people (supervision) to ensure their safety and ensure the smooth running of the workshops.
Requirements :
Comfortable speaking in front of an audience / customer service experience
Love children and have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Good knowledge of French.
Comfortable working in a team.
Have the right to work in Canada.
Advantages :
Experience in animation, day camp or teaching with children aged 5 to 12.
Have training first
Knowledge of one or more techniques related to the circus field or in a similar field (juggling, gymnastics, dance, etc.)
Ability to express oneself in English.
Current training in one of the following areas: cultural animation and research, recreation, leisure techniques, theater, physical activities, teaching, games, pedagogy and other related areas.
Working conditions:
Basic training in circus techniques AND animation techniques provided by the employer.
Immediate start date
21 hours of work per week guaranteed until mid-June.
Flexible and malleable schedule, depending on the employee's preferences and availability. Perfect to complement another job, for students or even as a first job.
Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
Salary based on experience and current internal policies, starting at $16/hour.
