This pivotal role involves guiding children and adolescents aged 6-19 through the captivating world of circus arts, fostering creativity, self-discovery, and artistic understanding. Working collaboratively with a colleague, the primary teaching schedule is on Tuesdays, complemented by some administrative duties. The school operates on a dynamic summer service model, which includes engaging holiday activities and introductory trial days, with occasional weekend commitments. We are looking for a dedicated professional with formal circus teaching qualifications or equivalent extensive experience. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of instructing diverse groups of young learners, from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. Essential expertise spans a wide array of circus disciplines, including but not limited to floor and partner acrobatics, juggling, balance techniques, aerial arts, clowning, and physical theater. Safety competence is paramount, encompassing thorough risk assessment, adaptive exercise design for varying ages and skill levels, injury prevention strategies, comprehensive warm-up protocols, a clear understanding of personal competence limits, and the correct application of safety equipment.
