Circus creation laboratoryexpiredCRECE project |
Description:The CRECE project is a circus creation laboratory led by the Carampa Circus School and supported by FEDEC, aimed at artists/ students who have recently graduated from a school or are in their final year. The goal is to create a show together, which could include short forms (acts: 5-8 minutes) or medium-length pieces with multiple artists (10-15 minutes). The creation time is short (up to 10 days: it’s hard work). There are no limits on the character of the pieces; on the contrary, we would like to include the wide variety of textures found in today’s contemporary circus expression. Conditions Travel expenses, accommodation, meals, and production will be covered by the organization. The possibilities of transporting large apparatus are limited. No fee will be paid. Applications & selections Depending on distances (travel expenses), we may select 8 to 12 artists. Participants must be current students in their final year or recent graduates (2021-2025). Candidates should send their CV, videos, technical requirements, and any other relevant information to: [email protected]. In addition to each candidate’s circus technique, experience and/ or ease with improvisation with text and movement will be valued. There will be a video call meeting with the pre-selected candidates. After the selection, the artistic director will be in contact via video call with the selected candidates. Deadline The deadline for applications is June 13, 2025. We will respond by June 30. Learn more If you have any questions, please contact Javier Jiménez at [email protected].
