Description:

Gainesville Circus Center is hiring for our youth circus camps June 3 - July 15, 2022. Gainesville Circus Center is a non-profit social circus serving youth and adult students in Gainesville, Florida. Our program is sponsored by the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and the Children's Trust of Alachua County.

Ideal candidate will have experience working with children and advanced training in one or more of the following disciplines:

Silks
Slings
Dance trapeze
Lyra
Rope
Web
Acro-Dance
Tumbling
Flying Trapeze
Juggling
Stilting

Camps run Mon - Fri from 9am - 3:30pm, June 6 - July 15. Weekly camp showcases held on Fridays. Additional duties include: minor equipment maintenance (moving equipment, re-taping bars, sanitizing equipment); Staff meetings; offer 1 staff workshop in discipline of your choice during the contract term (exact date TBD). Start date is somewhat flexible (June 3 - 5), but we need to ensure time to get new coach acclimated with our facility and community before first date of camp (June 6).

Gainesville, FL is situated in North Central Florida. Home to the University of Florida, we are an eclectic international community of academics & students surrounded by beautiful green spaces and natural wonders of Florida. Candidate will have weekends off to explore hundreds of trails, springs, rivers and beaches all within a short drive from Gainesville.

Salary commensurate with experience.
