Description:Our mission: Circus Up uses circus arts to overcome social barriers and build community with people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.Our vision: A world where inclusion is the model, access is the norm, and play, creativity, and diversity are celebrated. Circus Up is looking for dedicated individuals with a passion for our mission, vision, and values who have experience in the movement arts and/or education to teach at our at-school, after-school, and/or community programs in and around the city of Boston. We work with a wide range of students from 6 years old to 16 years old in various group sizes. All lessons are co-taught with coaches from various movement arts and education backgrounds. Staff meetings and trainings are held roughly once a month and attendance in mandatory. Lessons in multiple circus disciplines (tumbling, aerials, juggling, contortion, partner acro, etc.) are available to all coaches at a discounted rate in order to learn and improve upon skills. Pay rate begins at $20/hour with the opportunity to move up to $42/hour. Qualifications: Candidates should:- Have experience in movement arts and/or movement arts education- Collaborate with co-coaches on lesson plans- Arrive on time to scheduled shifts and staff meetings- Be willing to learn!
