Circus Center, a non-profit organization and the oldest and largest circus training and performing arts center on the West Coast, seeks part-time, remote Merchandise Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Merchandise Manager holds a cross-functional role and is responsible for developing and managing our merchandise catalog. This is a part-time remote position starting at approximately 20 hours per week on a short-term contract. Duties include: Product Catalogue - Develop a merchandise line of athletic wear and accessories for adults and children. - Maintain accurate product information across all platforms. - Maintain an accurate library of product metadata, including materials descriptions and size guides. - Work closely with our photographer to ensure all product photography is delivered in a timely manner and accurately represents the product. Crop, color-correct, and edit photos in Photoshop as needed. - Review customer photos from social media to identify high quality user generated content to share on the website with permission from the rights owner. - Troubleshoot all issues relating to the product catalog as needed. Site Merchandising - Optimize site merchandising based on sales and inventory trends, new seasonal launches, marketing communications, and product-related sales goals. - Merchandise and manage category collection pages and editorial collection pages based on analytics insights, data and seasonal calendar needs. - Curate on-site visual merchandisings. - Perform frequent site quality assurance, and support website maintenance and enhancements. - Work closely with customer service to identify and troubleshoot product or customer issues that arise on site. - Research and recommend enhancements to site merchandising features and capabilities. Marketing Launches - Work closely with graphic designer/marketing manager to launch new product campaigns. - Test all links on the website and other marketing assets (such as emails) to make sure they link to the accurate place. - Review and test the user experience on various devices and browsers. - Monitor inventory to ensure that email and digital marketing efforts are well supported; proactively raise inventory issues and suggest replacements. Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience with online merchandising, e-commerce, branded apparel, or retail - Experience with graphic design and photo editing software - Familiarity with troubleshooting site-related issues; comfortable with reaching out to software providers, developers and third-party apps to get help as needed - Proficient in Google Workspace - Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly and accurately - Access to a computer with stable internet connection - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Exceptional proofreading skills, grammar, and spelling. - Proactive problem solver - Dedication in adhering to quality standards - Outstanding time management skills Review of applications will begin immediately.
