Description:
The Ecole du Cirque Electrique is a place where circus arts are practiced and taught under a big top. Attached to the Cirque Electrique, it is located on the Dalle aux Chaps at the Porte des Lilas, a space dedicated to the circus created by the Paris City Hall.
This leisure school, bringing together around 800 members, is based on a pedagogy of play and performance. It considers circus practice above all as an artistic practice, a practice of the stage and risk-taking. Intended for both children and adults, it focuses its learning on creation and experimentation.
Job Description
The school is looking to recruit for its weekly workshops on Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings:
A teaching instructor specializing in aerial techniques who can teach at least two disciplines.
Missions:
• Supervise weekly workshops for adults and adolescents
• Contribute to the implementation and improvement of the educational project
• Organize end-of-year shows
• Participate in the life of the association: team meetings, member information, etc.
• Participate in the logistical and technical management and maintenance of the school's infrastructure and educational materials
Description of the profile sought
Skills and characteristics required:
• Proven experience in supervising workshops for adults is essential. • Knowledge of different audiences
• Good interpersonal skills
• Sense of responsibility, autonomy in assigned tasks and team spirit
• Artistic sensitivity essential
• Flexibility in working hours – Availability in the evenings
