Description:Circus Bella is seeking a ground act for its inaugural winter tent show on Treasure Island on the San Francisco Bay, running November 30th, 2018 through January 6th.Circus Bella is an open air, one-ring circus that features premiere circus artists accompanied by the amusing and inventive Circus Bella All–Star Band. Circus Bella was founded in 2008 by David Hunt and Abigail Munn with a vision for accessible and high quality traditionally staged circus in the SF Bay Area. Since then, the company produces its annual “Circus in the Parks” series, and provides talent for local and national events. More about our current show can be found at www.circusbella.com. This winter we are expanding our season to include a 6 - week tented holiday show. SEEKING: ~ Professional, high caliber acts: appropriate for all ages and cultural sensibilities. ~ Specifically looking for dynamic and high energy acts, ie: risley, teeterboard, rola bola, Russian bar, etc. We are currently not casting Aerial, Contortion or Clown Acts at this time. For this season, a US citizenship or a valid green card is required. QUALIFICATIONS: ~ A willingness to participate in the community of the show beyond just performing their act. ~ The ability and experience of working and creating alongside others ~ The ability to perform and collaborate with a live band ~ Although not essential, club juggling and passing skills is an asset COMMITMENT: Company rehearsals and tech will begin starting mid-November. Show will run Wednesday through Sunday with approximately 7 shows a week. COMPENSATION: Company members receive a salaried position based on rehearsal participation, performances, and experience.
