Description:CircEsteem’s mission is to unite youth across all backgrounds and identities by fostering self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice and performance of circus arts. CircEsteem creates the social conditions for youth to find commonalities in their resilience and their commitment to reimagining the role youth play in shaping the future of Chicago.This position reports to and is accountable to the Executive Director of CircEsteem and will be expected to work closely with the Community Outreach Director and the Programs Director as a member of the core administrative team of the organization. The Office Manager must be able to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment with confidence and efficiency. This position will have a regular work week of Monday through Friday, approximately 9am – 5pm. CircEsteem holds monthly anti-racism trainings on the last Sunday of each month, which the Office Manager is required to attend. Occasional weekend and evening special events occur throughout the year, which are also mandatory for all staff to support and attend. CircEsteem is currently operating in-person programming for a limited number of youth. This position is required to work in-person at CircEsteem’s office in Uptown. Responsibilities Finance and Bookkeeping Purchasing and Accounts Payable Expense and Revenue Tracking and Recording Data Entry (Quickbooks) Registration and Financial Aid Administration Manage Registration Software (iClass) Administer Financial Aid Awards Billing Communications Basic Web Design and Management Graphic Design for all external communication needs Office Administration and Housekeeping Reception and Mail Services Maintain an accurate inventory of all office supplies, equipment (non-program) and merchandise Restock necessary supplies (office, programs and merchandise) Manage CircEsteem Vehicles (schedules, maintenance, registration) Room Reservations (with Alternatives) Maintain physical and virtual calendars Program and Special Event Support Apparel Design and Purchasing Support the production of youth annual performances (Spring, Winter, etc) Support the preparation and implementation of various fundraising events (Gala, Casino Night, etc.) throughout the year All other tasks as assigned by Executive Director Compensation The starting salary range for this position is $38,000 – $42,000. CircEsteem offers a generous benefit allowance of 12% of each employee’s salary. Benefit allowance can be used for health insurance premiums (including dental) and/or 403b Retirement contributions. CircEsteem offers 30 paid days off each year (15 PTO, 5 Sick, 10 Holidays). On the occasion that an employee must work beyond their scheduled 40-hour work week, Flex Leave may be awarded.
