Description:
All new Elf candidates must be prepared to record a virtual audition. You will receive a separate email with virtual audition instructions.
Seeking cheerful and dedicated talent to create a memorable guest experience.
Basic Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be under the height of 5’6”
Must be able to work from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, may vary on selected nights, and event nights and during some rehearsals
Must be able to disclose accurate availability for all event/rehearsal dates during the audition process
Must be able to play a convincing character in a variety of settings and previous performance experience is beneficial but not required
Costumes will be provided by Busch Gardens and will remain the property of Busch Gardens
Must be able to perform assigned character for up to 1 hour at a time.
Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple hand grasp
Performance may include long periods of standing, walking or sitting
Must be able to transition from working indoors and to working outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat while in costume
Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs
Job Responsibilities:
Creating a realistic character experience for families at Busch Gardens Christmas Town
Consistently performing the same experience repetitively throughout the night of the event
Being responsible for clocking in and out at the beginning and end of assigned shifts
Taking and implementing direction from persons of authority
Maintaining a tidy and safe work area
Maintain a professional demeanor while working with a diverse group of customers, leadership and co-workers
Perform other duties as assigned based on business need
