Job Summary
Norwich Theatre is in search of a committed and self-motivated Choreographer/Assistant Director for Norwich Theatre’s pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty to work collaboratively and in close partnership with the Director and as part of a Creative Team.
Job Description
Norwich Theatre is producing Sleeping Beauty as this year's Christmas Pantomime at Norwich Theatre, directed by Chris Cuming. We aim to create a traditional Pantomime for today's audiences that is fun for everyone.
Fees and Contract
***Fee: £4000 Including VAT and subject also to the below payment terms.
Payment terms:
This is a self-employed freelance contract. The fee is inclusive and includes consideration for all work undertaken by freelancers - including planning, travel, accommodation, meetings etc. and includes fair trade standards.

Job Requirements
You will be able to demonstrate:-
Experience of choreographing and assistant directing at mid to large-scale
Previous experience in a creative role in pantomime and/or musicals
Prior experiences of creating and developing dance routines and working with performers to produce a well-polished performance
Dance training and experience in styles including but not limited to contemporary dance forms such as jazz, hip-hop, street or freestyle and musical theatre
Thorough knowledge of 20th and 21st Century popular music and musicals
An ability to perform as part of a Creative Team and to discuss ideas and plans with producers, costume designers, and musical and artistic directors
Excellent communication and strong team leading skills
An awareness of health and safety and safeguarding in a Theatre environment
This position requires the applicant to have and maintain a clear enhanced DBS check
