Description:
Acro Gravity Academy seeks a charismatic Circus Coach who can train and develop circus performers in various disciplines, such as acrobatics, aerial arts, clowning, juggling, and other ground circus acts. The coach ensures performers achieve high skill, safety, and artistic expression. The coach works with performers of all levels, from beginners to professionals, and collaborates closely with directors and other creative staff to produce captivating and polished performances.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Training and Instruction:**
- Provide comprehensive training in circus disciplines, including but not limited to acrobatics, aerial arts, juggling, aerial duo, acrodance, and other ground circus disciplines.
- Develop customized training programs tailored to individual performers' strengths and areas for improvement.
- Conduct group classes, workshops, and one-on-one sessions.
- Safety and Risk Management:
- Ensure all training and performance activities adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Educate performers on safe practices and injury prevention.
- Supervise the use of equipment, ensuring it is properly maintained and safely operated.
- **Performance Development:**
- Assist in creating and refining acts, providing feedback on technique, presentation, and artistic interpretation.
- Collaborate with directors and choreographers to integrate acts into shows.
- Mentor performers, fostering their artistic growth and professional development.
#### Qualifications:
- **Experience and Skills:**
- Proven experience as a circus performer or coach with expertise in one or more disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of training techniques and safety protocols specific to circus arts.
- Ability to design effective training programs for various skill levels.
- **Education and Certification:**
- Formal training in circus arts, physical education, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as circus instruction, first aid, and CPR are highly desirable.
- **Personal Attributes:**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and the ability to motivate and inspire performers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Primarily works in training facilities, rehearsal spaces, and performance venues.
- Requires physical fitness and the ability to demonstrate techniques and maneuvers.

Requirements:

- Can work legally in the U.S.
- Is comfortable teaching in English language.
