Iron Peak Sports & Events is a state-of-the-art, 200,000-sq. ft. venue located in Hillsborough, NJ, just an hour outside of New York City. We are a multi-sport training, recreation, events, and entertainment facility that will serve as a hub for a full spectrum of sports, as well as many other recreation and community pursuits. The facility will provide an atmosphere of community to sports clubs, event organizers, and participants and will focus on five principle offerings:
Youth sports training programs, clinics, and camps
Sports performance and fitness training
Youth and adult leagues, tournaments, and events
Fun, affordable, family entertainment and food & beverage
Facility rental for corporate meetings and social gathering events
Iron Peak houses indoor and outdoor turf fields, hardwood courts, batting tunnels, clip and climb walls, ninja & aerial ropes courses, sports performance areas, a family entertainment center with interactive games, multi-purpose rooms, a corporate center, and food & beverage service.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Challenge Course Instructor is responsible for all aspects of the facility's Family Entertainment Center programs, and events regarding our climbing wall, aerial ropes course, and ninja course. This position is responsible for delivering our adventure course curriculum in a safe and fun way for our guests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Greet guests promptly and provide excellent customer service
Always be encouraging and positive to all guests
Know and enforce the facility's policies and procedures
Be knowledgeable about pricing, events offered, equipment, and all activities
Explain and demonstrate correct usage of climbing equipment and facility features
Monitoring climbing wall, ninja, adventure element, and ropes course safety practices
Inspect, maintenance, and inventory all climbing wall and ropes course equipment
Lead rock-climbing and ninja course classes for children thru adults
Maintain member files and waiver forms within the Dash Platform
Complete daily assignments before, during, and after each shift as directed by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work with a wide variety of ages from pre-school thru adult
Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Must have excellent guest service skills
Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow team members
Committed to the safety and wellbeing of others
High School Degree or Equivalent
Must be at least 21 years old
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must obtain them within a specified period of time.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must show proficiency with all climbing equipment, procedures, and elements
Must be physically able to climb and navigate all adventure elements without assistance
Must be physically able to assist customers aloft including performing tasks including but not limited to rescues and first aid
Must be able to manually belay in case of emergency
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. waist high
Must wear proper uniform
Facility has intermittent noise

Ropes course experience
Ninja course experience
Martial Arts experience
Belay Certification
