Description:Job SummaryNonsuch Studios are looking for an exciting and dyanmic company/artist to programme for our November 2024 Schools Performance week as part of our Centre Stage Programme. Job Description About Centre Stage Centre Stage is a 2 year project supported by Arts Council England that sees young people aged 12-18 across Nottinghamshire engaging in programming, commissioning and co-creating new theatre by leading artists/companies from across the UK. Through co-creation workshops young people will work with artists to develop new theatre shows alongside the findings of Nottingham Youth Trends - the county's largest youth-led survey. Artists will work with the participants to present existing or create new shows, informed by their ideas and the things that matter to them the most. Working with 5 secondary schools across Nottinghamshire, the commissioned shows will be presented in front of 500 students (100 per school) over 5 days, followed by a day of workshops that explore the content of the show and how it was made. What We're Looking For We're looking for three companies or artists to join us on this journey of Centre Stage across multiple call-outs, programming opportunities and commissions which will be announced in Autumn 2024. This call-out is just for one company/artist to present work as part of our November 2024 programme week. November 2024 Programme We're looking for a company or artists with a tour-ready show or a show already in development for our November 2024 Centre Stage performance week (w/c 4th November 2024) which will take place in School halls or school grounds at 4 schools across Nottinghamshire. The selected company or artist should be keen to engage young people and present their work to young-adult audiences, with shows that are relevant, exciting and bold. Job Responsibilities What You'll Get Performance and workshop fees of up to £1000/day (excl. VAT) Technical support to enable the show the tour to school environments Support from the Nonsuch team on co-creating with young people and planning for the Centre Stage programme week. Support on delivering the show within 4 schools Dramaturgical sessions and development support with Nonsuch's Artistic Director (if the show still in development) Opportunity to explore evening public performances in Nottingham (tbc)
